We are excited to announce that SOS was awarded a grant from the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor for Parents as Teachers (PAT), a proven home-visiting program for children ages 0-5 and their families. PAT promotes kindergarten readiness, healthy development of children, and a strong parent-child bond through home visits, play groups, and community referrals.
Funding for the Kiwanis community grant program is made possible through the Kiwanis Thrift Sale, which happens every Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM. This past year, the sale raised nearly $200,000 for local organizations.
