SOS is excited to welcome Hannah Weilnau to the team as Development Associate.
“I am so thrilled to be a part of such a fabulous organization like SOS. I wanted to use my skills to make a difference, so when I saw this position was available I leaped at the opportunity. My goal is to help this organization grow and ensure we can provide for our community and each other for years to come,” said Hannah.
Hannah grew up in Lakewood, Colorado and followed her husband to Michigan in 2015 after finishing her degree in Performing Arts Management at the University of Hartford. “I’ve always been driven to provide joy and dignity because those are experiences we all deserve. Whether it is through supporting self expression or providing basic necessities, I am honored when I have the opportunity to serve others.”
Hannah previously had the privilege to work as general manager and community outreach coordinator for 734 Brewing Company in Ypsilanti. She is an active member of Washtenaw County by proudly serving as a volunteer workshop facilitator for the Prison Creative Arts Project, and as a board member of Hero Nation.
In her free time Hannah enjoys knitting, watching science fiction, going on walks, and trying new hot sauces.
