Our volunteers are an essential piece of the puzzle! Last month we hosted an event to honor our volunteers and recognize their amazing contributions at SOS Community Services. Our volunteers had a chance to design their own puzzle piece, play games, and enjoy refreshments.
Over the past year, SOS volunteers have made the following impact:
- Last year, SOS had 332 volunteers who completed 10,858 hours of service.
- Food Pantry volunteers helped to serve more than 8,000 households and distribute of 300,000 pounds of food.
- Walk-in Volunteers helped to provide utility assistance, transportation, phone access and referrals.
- Children’s programs volunteers served about 75 kids though after-school programs.
- Administrative and Development volunteers helped support greeting facility visitors, data entry, and organizing annual events.
