"Volunteering here gives me a good opportunity to think of others instead of myself. It makes me realize it’s not just me in the world, but other people who could use help."

Resource Center Overview

Many of the families in our communities live paycheck-to-paycheck, working hard to make ends meet. For these households, even a small interruption in income or an unexpected expense can make paying the monthly bills and putting food on the table an insurmountable task. What seems like a minor setback can spiral into a long-term emergency as bills mount and eviction or foreclosure looms.

At SOS, we believe one of the best ways to end homelessness is to prevent homelessness in the first place. The SOS Resource Center provides a stop-gap for families facing temporary hardships so that the emergency remains just that — temporary. We help families access food,  and  walk-in services, so that they can emerge from a moment of crisis to a place of strength.
